Black Rob is Back

I heard this new Black Rob song and it is heat. He has spent a lot of time upstate since his "Whoa" glory days, apparently because he couldn't help but steal TVs from all his hotel rooms when he was on tour. I can really respect that his criminal background is in theft/burglary and not the usual drug dealing/ gangbanging. He's unique, yadidimean? But the point is, the time in prison did not cause him to fall off completely:

If you can't get down with kids singing obscene lines about how gully Rob is, then you have terrible taste in music. Plus the beat slaps.
For further proof of how legit Black Rob is, despite his Puffy connections, check the title track from his first album, "Life Story." It is an awesome "shit was rough coming up in the hood but I love my Moms even though she was a crackhead/drunkard" joint.

Gotta love the beat, as well as the required over-the-top moaning by some chick (not exactly Mariah Carey, but Black Rob isn't exactly Ghostface). Also I noticed that Rob uses the word faggot in almost all his songs. Just gonna put that out there.

Lastly I want to post this new song I heard by Big Boi's new group, the Purple Ribbon All-Stars. It's been out there on the internets for a second but I think it's hot so you should listen to it. It's basically about how the members of the group are Big Boi's weed carriers and how they get high a lot. Nothing too original, but they call weed "kryptonite," and I'm a Bayish type of guy who can get down with the new slanguage, especially when it refers to drugs.
