He might want to trade those in for stunnas.
I had the feeling that "Tell Me When To Go" had gotten pretty popular in Southern California, just based on the airplay it gets on San Diego radio stations that make sure only to play really popular songs. But, it turns out that The Game himself has jumped on the yellow bus, too. He went right ahead and made a remix to the Bay's current anthem.
E-40 f. Keak da Sneak, The Game "Tell Me When To Go (Remix)"
I was coming around on The Game lately (no homo), with all his G-Unot disses. I actually thought those were pretty good. I thought Game was being less of a dickrider. Well this kinda proves that theory wrong. The Bay Area's collective dick gets seriously ridden on this track (no homo!).
Well, you can get annoyed with stuff like this, or you can accept it as part of the growing popularity of Bay Area rap. I mean, this is what's supposed to happen when a local scene blows up, right? People are gonna be picking up on the style and the slang. On a side note, if the scene does get big, I personally look forward to hearing Juelz imitate Bay rappers on his mixtapes, and I also want to hear Jim Jones make some embarrassing attempts at "hyphy" music (if he's still with the Dips...). Seriously though, I really like the Diplomats. Back to the point, other rappers, and other people, are going to be getting into the scene, and they might get it wrong. If you want to be an asshole about it, we can be snobs and point out where they go wrong.
Game doesn't make it hard to do that in this song. Listen to him say "hyphy". Funny, right? He also appears to be somewhat confused by the concept of "ghost-riding". He says something about "ghost riding your bitch", which one can only assume is equivalent to dry-humping, which is ghey. Also, he has this line "LA is back, which means the Bay is back". I don't really need to explain his mistake there. And be careful when Game ends his verse, because you might hurt your toes. Why's that? Cause he drops the shit out of Mac Dre's name. I think that was cheap of him. See, now I thought that Game was done there. I was wrong! Wait for the call and response at the end, it's priceless. He needs to turn his vocals the fuck DOWN! He also seems to be unclear on the concept of the thizz face (he only yells "thizz"). Someone should show him that one website. And if he's into that site, he should check out www.thizzface.com. It's pretty much the same thing, but lower rent.
Enough Game-bashing for now, cause there's another "Tell Me When To Go" Remix out there. Trackademics, a Bay producer who you've probably heard of reworked the beat to the song. It's pretty out there.
"Tell Me When To Go (Trackademics Remix)"
It's nothing that The Water or Keak would ever rap over normally, but it goes.
While you're at it check out my homey Mac Jay's new blog Yay Mecca. Given that a couple of Bay blogs seem to have gone "dormant", it's nice to see some new ones popping up.

For one, who the hell cares whether or not Game uses "ghostriding" correctly? Seriously pisses me off to see a dirty ass jig get out of the shittiest ride I've ever seen (with 24'' wheels no doubt) and act like a total idiot. The Game's first commercial record is better than any single album Keak has ever released (solo or with 3X). The truth hurts.
well, craig, i was saying that it doesnt really matter, but we can be dicks about it and point out where he went wrong.
also, this isnt Byroncrawford.com, so lay off the slurs.
"seriously pisses me off to see a dirty ass jig get out of the shittiest ride I've ever seen (with 24'' wheels no doubt) and act like a total idiot."
the whole reason i slap bay shit is cuz its music that represents the streets, shit u can relate too. they're not rappin bout bentley's and shit u'll never buy. they rappin bout scraperz and goin dummy yadididmean? The game is fire but why u comparin him to keak? the whole point of this remix was to show cali love dipshit
hey man where did u get that trackademiks remix cause ur rapidshare isnt working... that shit is a heater i love the beat... also craig can go fuck himself and hop on the bandwagon with game who isnt original and all he does is try to hop on other peoples shit to bring himself up through association or haterism... for example jt tha bigga figga, yukmouth, 50, and now comin back to the bay
nevermind about it not working i guess it was just temporary
does anyone else have a problem with the fact that the game goes first? maybe its nitpicky, but - shouldn't he be last? I mean - its the game! (homo)
Do you think the game is actually on one? me thinks not.
Will he follow through on growing dreads? that would be great.
did he know Mac Dre? Me thinks not.
The Trackademicks Remix ripped off westcoastrydaz.com is ill, and I wanted to hear you spit some commentary on the evolution of gurped ass beats. Conventional synthesizer thump-slap bass and bugfuck crazy vocal effects for the snare, dripping like a sponge with Khayree's influence.
The Trackademiks remix sounds like an acapella group remix. Sorta corny. I was wondering about that song on the beautiful hustle main page.
You got that Droop-E remix of "Three Freaks"? I heard a crappy rip--wondering if you got a better copy.
As for the Game, he sounds desperate. From what I hear, in L.A. he's their Messiah, but nobody cares about him anywhere else, so he's gotta rely on 50 diss tracks and surfing the Hyphy wave to remain popular.
"and when I get writers block /
I ghost ride your bitch"
I don't really get it either. Like, does he mean he pulls out? So he's inher then notinher, as in, outside the whip, if you will? Or perhaps he is such a sexual dynamo that he does not even have to be inside a girl for her to "fire on all cylinders."
No homo on this whole post.
okay, anonymous #4- Game just did that with a some DJ (Dj Skee, i think), so he just extended the instrumental in the beginning. i think that's pretty standard for unauthorized mixtape remixes. he should have taken his vocals off of the end. and the thought of Game with dreads is kinda funny.
anonymous #5- that's interesting what you say about Khayree's influence, i never would have thought about it
mac china - i have the crappy rip, too. if i get something better i'll post it. or maybe ill just post the rip. i dont know.
de brainchild - you just reminded me that i've never done a First Degree the D.E. post. w
Not to defend The Gheyme, who will name drop anyone, including Venus Williams' sister, but here's my parsing of the line in question:
and when I get writers block /
I ghost ride your bitch
So "ghost ride" is a play on "ghostwrite" since someone who is suffering from writer's block coud use a ghostwriter. He's saying he ghost "rides" someone's "bitch" i.e. he rides her in the place of the boyfriend who is having a sexual version of writer's block. Now that may not be the Bay Area use of "ghostride" but it makes sense as a line. Fuck The Game though.
wow. that's quite a read. i'm gonna have to say it makes more sense than my interpretation of it.
fuck the Game though.
all i gotta say is at least they didn't put busta rhymes on the remix.
