Hella action with the posts as of late. I probably would've posted earlier, but the number just got higher and higher. Granted, I've only been part of the Nation since around day 450, but I've been a reader since day one, and I'm almost positive 54 is the all-time high for the Nation. Well done. Not every song mentioned or linked is included above, but most are. A few words... Am I the only one who doesn't think "I Got Chips" is that tight? Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but the beat is far from Rick Rock's best, and E-40's verse, uhhhh, kinda sucks. If Turf stays this on point his whole album though, it will be a very good thing for West Coast Vaccine. Very excited. Nice to hear from Jayo Felony as well. If I recall correctly, he is from San Diego as well. Take that Pilly, an SD rapper not named Mitchy on the Nation!!!

Damani - Dego ft. E-40

Saw the title, and initially thought it would be about either Diego or new slang for "They go." I was wrong on both fronts, but it's about stupid beezies! So it turned out to be even better. Thought it was funny when he says that girls say "there goes Damani." Does anyone even know who this guy is, let alone what he looks like?

Khafani - Fast ft. Keak Da Sneak

Been bumping this song A LOT recently. Feelin it. Also marks the twentieth time Keak has jacked "ridin sideways, this way that-a-way." Stick to what you know son!

Lee Majors - Do Da One On Em ft. P Dot

Hadn't heard from Lee since "Scraper Music," which was hella long ago. I wasn't such a fan, but Pilly was for sure. This one's better, but the whole "now dip with me" is kinda on some 69 Boyz Tootsee Roll tip.

V-White - Skyscraper ft. Mistah F.A.B. & G-Stack

No strong feelings about this one, but this V-White character is pretty solid. Fabby is fun to listen to as always. I'm assuming you've all checked out the video for Ghost Ride It. What you may not have seen is this. Apparently, some people really love them some Ghostbusters, and take the shit extremely seriously.

Keak Da Sneak - Hyphy Ridin '07

Is this beat jacked from somewhere else? Or is it supposed to sound like some Dre beat from '95? Either way, feelin the synth, feelin the bass. Interesting to hear Keak on a beat that isn't obviously Bay Area.

A-Wax - Everybody

I've seen a lot of tracks posted from Messy's "Musik Fo Tha Taliban," but hadn't seen this one. I haven't heard a lot from this dude, but I really like what I've heard from A-Wax. I'm gonna try and dig up some other tracks by him and maybe do a post just on him. Loved his line saying "they wouldn't know what it was if I took my weed out to Florida." They think the weed is really good here. Ignorance is ignorance if the weed sucks. It sucks.

Messy Marv, Andre Nickatina & Pastor Troy - Bitch I'm Fresh

Another good one from Taliban. New Nickatina!! Without Equipto!! Wow. Always good to hear Nicky, but someone needs to get this guy away from Nick Peace, and near some cocaine. That's how his magic happens.

Trigg Dot Dot - Dot Trigg

If anyone knows anything about this character, please educate me in the comments section. Have never heard of him, but was immensely entertained by this song. Give it a try.

Allright, hope this long-ass post compensates for my three-week abscence from posting. About to go watch the White Rapper Show, which has been the only show on TV that I make an effort to watch. You should too, for real. It's definitely ridiculous at times, but entertaining nonetheless. Only 4 "rappers" remaining, 2 of em are from California. One is a total clown named Jus Rhyme, an Ethnic Studies PhD student from LA who is the embodiment of white guilt. Someone asks him if he is bothered by something, and he responds by saying, "I have bigger things to worry about..... like white supremacy." Unreal. Other Cali cat is from Davis, goes by the name of famous abolitionist John Brown. Another guy from his crew is named Dredd Scott. If this sounds comical, that's cuz it is, without intending to be. The dude constantly makes reference to a "Ghetto revival," calls himself the "King of the Burbs," and says "hallelujah holla back" as a response to anything and everything. Despite all the WTF, he's still definitely my favorite, mainly cuz he rocked a Mac Dre shirt the second episode. He's probably the favorite, along with Persia, an orca of an Italian woman from Far Rockaway. Both are pretty decent at times. Get into it.
