Thank god for the internets, 'cause even over here in Central Europe, not only can I go to the club and hear Pack music, I can also still keep tabs on the dumbest music going (as an aside, Slate insists that Hyphy is the best rap out right now. Slate is usually right about pretty much everything). Anyway, recently, I've been noticing a whole lot more hyphy songs that are, for lack of a better expression, "for the ladies". One would think that in a world of thizz, sideshows, and shaking dreads, it might be hard to find true love. As it turns out, that isn't true, so long as you're a little open-minded about what "love" is.

First up, this song:

"A Man That Goes" Selau, Goldie Gold

Selau's done a bunch of hooks for a bunch of songs that I didn't really care for. Whenever I saw the name, I recognized that it belonged to a singer, but I always forgot whether it was a dude or a broad. Weird name, right? Embarassingly enough, I've been listening to this song a lot lately. It really does have a certain appeal, for about two days. You know how a lot of dudes really like Ciara, when it comes down to it? This is pretty much a Bay Area Ciara song. And I finally understand how hetero dudes who I otherwise respect can listen to shit like Ciara. No homo.

Here's the premise: There's this girl, and she needs a man. But this man, he has to go. Fortunately, it seems that they meet. Their conversation is fucking priceless.

"He say he teach 101/
I say "What kind, you go dumb?"/
He takes one look at me and screams out "Yee Yee!"
Straight hyphy yeah!"

Looks like she found a man that goes!

Awesome. That's all. Needless to say, Goldie Gold doesn't get too romantic, but the guys never do in these R&B songs that feature rappers. I usually hate these type of songs, actually, except for Silkk the Shocker and Mya's "Movin On". That song fucking rules.

"She Goes" Federation

I guess this isn't that romantic, but it seems appropriate as a response of sorts to "A Man that Goes". It's as if the Feds want us to know that men and women all want the same thing in life: someone who goes.

This next song I found over on So Many Shrimp.

"Dumb Luv" Scweez

Ahhh yesssss! The First Mexican to Ride the Yellow Bus has a soft side. Only exception, this soft side is really hyphy. In case you didn't know, Scweez goes dumb between the sheets. As a matter of fact, having sex with Scweez is apparently similar to a "sideshow on a king-size bed". Scweez will even remove his stunna shades, if you choose to have sex with him, or as he puts it, "ghost-ride your body".

You know how Pitbull songs sometimes make you sick to your stomach? This one kinda has that same exact quality.

And finally:

"Hyphy Luv" Robert Napoleon, Bailey

I don't know if they butchered "Computer Luv" with this one, or if they did a really brilliant update. It's pretty incredible at certain points. For example, instead of "thanks to modern technology" or however the original goes, Napoleon cries "thanks to remy and ecstasy". You can't make this stuff up, except that you totally can, and Robert Napoleon did.

I feel really bad for you if this song wasn't already a part of your life before this.

Does anyone have that Click song "Scandalous" that also samples Zapp and Roger? I'd love a link.

Moving on.

I gathered from watching one of Yukmouth's DVDs that, not unlike David Hasslehoff, he's a big deal in Germany. However, I didn't know that there was actually a German remix to "I Got 5 On It" that has new verses from Yuk and Dru Down, and German verses from German dudes. Seriously. It's called....wait for it...

"Ich Bin High Homey" Luniz, Richie Rich, Eco Fresh

That German dude can actually kinda spit.

"Drip 4 A Stunna" Lil B from The Pack

This is apparently Lil' B from The Pack, but it sounds like he's doing his best Lil' Wayne impression or something. It's cool, I mean, I'll pretty much listen to anything The Pack makes. Speaking of which, I read this post from Different Kitchen where Ian says that The Pack recorded a song with none other than Jim "One Eyed Willie" Jones. I'm gonna go ahead and say that that's gonna be the best song evar. Don't believe me, read what Ian had to say about it. Trust that I will have a post solely dedicated to that song once it drops. Don't even get me started on how powerful that song is gonna be.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I want to talk about for now. You could probably find a bunch more links in the comments. One comment on the comments section- yeah, it does look a lot like a Siccness forum these days, which is certainly interesting. All I'm saying is at least people haven't been writing "TBIB" all over the place. And remember, if you have something to say about the music/writing here, that's what the comments section is really for. The tracks are cool, too. Of course.
