His old mixtapes usually had guns on the cover, if you recall. He seems to have moved on to showing what guns are capable of doing, which is more than a bit morbid to say the least. Maybe I'm getting old if I'm those sort of thoughts, but I'm comfortable with that.
The mixtape is feature-heavy to say the least, but that's the point. It's Mitch and his gang. As a result, you get guest appearances from dudes with names like Problumz, Lil Fat Bat, Woodgrade [sic?], Trustory, Lil Poe 1, and last but certainly not least, Meat Face, who I am impressed has stayed out of jail long enough to come back for a second verse.
I was initially annoyed with the preponderance of no-name guest rappers, just for the fact that my main man (||) Mitchy wasn't on the mic so much, as a result. This provides a great contrast to all the so-called "underground" sensations that have came up through the blogosphere in the last year or two. Take Freddie Gibbs and Kid Cudi, for example. Gibbs lives in the Valley in Los Angeles, and Kid Cudi lived in East New York (as in, Uncle Murda "EAST NEW YAHK!") for a while before he made it. These guys have a good deal in common, in terms of career strategy, with kids who want to make it as actors in New York and Los Angeles, only they'd have a harder time getting a job waiting tables. Jokes aside: they know that you have to go to certain cities to make it on a national level in the entertainment business. And due to this internet-age hip-hop-is-dead-era obsession with authenticity, Freddie Gibbs is billed as the savior of gangsta rap, and the poet of Gary, IN even though he lives in Van Nuys, or some shit. I'll leave Kid Cudi out of this "authenticity" conversation, because it doesn't apply.
Mitchy Slick takes the complete opposite approach to marketing himself, as I've pointed out before. He's concerned with his local market, which is more or less contained to an indoor flea market, so he couldn't possibly up and move to Los Angeles and try to "make it". He's successful as it is, so there is little incentive to move anywhere else. My only complaint is that he constantly bitches about not having a record deal.
My advice to Mitch is this: sell out, or shut up. Or do a 2010 Bloods Vs. Crips mixtape with Nipsey Hussle. THAT would be tyt.
Here's some of my favorites off the tape:
Mitchy Slick, Lil Poe 1, Damu "She Hella Young"
This song comes just short of being really creepy, if you can imagine, but the beat is catchy, and so is the hook. It's also nice to see my favorite word that isn't in the OED is becoming more and more acceptable outside of the Bay Area. I hope my children grow up in a world where they can say "hella" without being judged by others.
Mitchy Slick, Marvara, Ise-B, Ric Nutt "Whatbitkerdendat?"
Speaking of slang, this one's interesting. It's clearly a case of SoCal gang member superstition regarding certain letters in the alphabet, perhaps combined with a spelling error on the part of the person who wrote the tracklisting. My best guess is that "bitker" is supposed to be "bicker", as is "sicker", but for Bloods. And maybe someone decided to avoid the letter "S" because it makes the same sound as "C", some of the time? I'm totally lost here. I've never been in a gang, what can I say?
Mitchy Slick, the whole gang "He'll Shoot"
This one has been out for some time, but it's pretty great. Not as hard as, let's say, Diddy, but it'll do.

glad to see the blogocaust didn't hit you, pill
I thought they were saying "what's bigger than that?", no? Mitchy's still pretty much local but he's gotta change that pretty soon, I think. Fam Mart ain't what it used to be and local DJ's seem to be getting less and less supportive of local music around SD.
Dope site, btw. I think this is my first time commenting.
"Not as hard as, let's say, Diddy, but it'll do"
He's actually shot a guy, can Mitchy and his gang all say the same?
some guy on the US team at the olympics has a last name that is Cellski. unfortunately I don't think he's related to our friend.
Mitchy is known in and out of San Diego, please believe. Of course he isn't mainstream but I'm Born and Bred in SD...he has a bigger following people give him credit for.
Let it be known that Mitchy is THE most notorious gangster in SD. Partly cuz of his rap game, and partly cuz of his dirt. To compare his dirt to puffy is ridiculous
Ours is an envionment where evil is perceived to be rewarded while good is punished. As with everything the Gods have a reason for creating this perception::::
People who fall on the good side of the good/evil scale have more favor, and when they do something wrong the Gods punish them BECAUSE THEY WANT THEM TO LEARN. The Gods want them to receive this feedback in hope they make corrections and begin to behave appropriately. The Gods DON'T like evil and refuse to grant this feedback.
EVERYBODY pays for what they do wrong, only evil people must wait until their next life before they will experience the wrath of the Gods, manifested in their reincarnation as a lower form of life into environments with increased/enhanced temptations.
Sadly, this allows the Gods to position this perception of evil rewarded as temptation, one which they use as an EXTREMELY effective corruptor.
Both Africa and the Medittereanean are regions which have sexual issues. This is a sign of morbid disfavor once you understand that females are the God's favored gender. Muhammad's (Mohammed's) polygamy halfway through his life as a prophet was preditory. Now a huge percentage of Muslims believes in male superiority and that the abuse of women is God's will. Female genital mutilation is still practiced in Africa. Black misogyny is the most eggregious example in the recent past.
Black member size is temptation to a predisposed population.
The patriarchal cancer spread throughout Europe because of Christianity, of which the majority of policy makers were Italian men. Expect the largest landowner in Europe and the continent's original superpower also played a major role in African slavery.
Militancy in Africa is consistant with the Iraqi example, as was slavery and the KKK here in America:::Fear enforces proper behavior. Without it we see what happens as a result of gross/morbid disfavor:::::AIDS, crack babies, dead young men in gangland retaliation killings. This is the purpose behind many black's historical tendancy towards resistance.
The same principle was true in Europe and throughout the world for centuries:::People whom lived under iron fists were conditioned to think the right way. As a result they experienced higher numbers of children ascend into heaven because they were taught to think and behave appropriately, which they passed on to their children. Our preditory envionment of "freedom" was the primary purpose the Gods had when implimenting this strategy that is the United States, one which they used to spred the cancer of democracy and westernization throughout the world. And the Gods use this tool that is America to prey on the disfavored both at home and abroad:::Much like the ghetto, America in general experiences a heightened level of temptation due to the people's disfavor.
Even the Old Testiment is not to be taken literally, but the Gods do offer clues throughout to help the disfavored:::The apple is a tool of temptation used to corrupt Adam and Eve and cast them out of the Garden of Eden.
There is another lesson to be learned from this passage, and it is quite similar to the vailing issue and the discourse over women's attire which ultimately died in the 70s:::Women are responsible for and control the fate of mankind.
Make the decision to always be good and never look back. Until you do this technology will employ tactics to test your resolve:::Ridicule, beligerance, doubt and refusal to abandon what people perceive to be their "investment".
Pray daily. Think appropriately. Too many are confident, unaware of the God's awesome powers or their status as antients. Others may fall prey to their positioning.
Be humbled, God-fearing and beware of the God's temptations, for everyone is tested to evaluate their worthiness.

I don't understand why these guys get so violent. Sometimes it seems like they're battling to see who is the most criminal and dangerous above all rappers!
